"My goal is not to capture the physical characteristics of a person or place..............but instead to reveal their essence".
Growing up with and artistic mom, I was drawing and painting since I could hold a crayon in my hand. At the age of 13, I found an incredible teacher and mentor, Jock MacRae. With great appreciation of the skills and sense of "home" I found in Jock's studio, I was inspired to open my own studio where others could find their own creative voice. The Katonah Art Center has been growing and thriving for 18 years and it has been an incredibly gratifying experience. Through KAC I have had the opportunity to hire and be inspired by other artists who travel a similar path while growing as an artist and creating my own body of work.
